To all of my friends that are going out and throwing down tonight, I’m praying for your safety. Even if you aren’t driving messed up, I can guarantee that there are those who have thrown proper discernment out the window. I love you guys from my nose to my toes, and I’d hate for the worst scenario to be the beginning of a new year.
Furthermore, don’t be shtupid.
I realize now that this is the year that could...
So I’ll praise God that He’s given me another year, much less another day to glorify Him.
If anyone will ever be daring enough to marry me,...
No but seriously. I’m on my Tumblr solely to take advantage of my nifty music widget thing.
I just want to make this clear before I answer any more anons in the future:
When you are asking for advice I won’t offer encouragement or wisdom unless you are off the anonymous setting. My reasoning is simple; I enjoy regarding every tumblr user as an actual human being and as such, I like getting to know you just a little so I don’t feel like I’m talking to myself. Prideful,...
True beauty is rare, and seldom recognized by the one who possesses it.

I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still.

I want to challenge you, the followers, to exercise your walk. Tonight, let the Holy Spirit overwhelm you; be convicted. Rather than being comforted by the Psalms, seek God through the conviction in the Epistles. If reblogging Bible verses is the extent of your pursuit of Truth, where do you think you really stand? Get to know Him in the quiet of your room, without the opinion of bloggers to...
Oh! And quick word of praise, all my tests came...
Seriously, I feel like Lacey Sturm the way I was dancing around my room when I got the call.
fagiolini asked: I really look up to you, and would be honored to hear your testimony.. or read it anyways :)
Praying about sharing my testimony with you guys!
God broke me down today, and I’ll ever praise Him for the work He’s done in me. I can’t begin to thank Him enough for keeping me alive to tell of His faithfulness. Have you ever just wanted to stand up and applaud God, even though no one’s around?

I need Christ, not something that resembles Him.

No but really. Now would be nice.

Keep yourself as a stranger here on earth, a pilgrim whom its affairs do not concern at all. Keep your heart free and raise it up to God, for you have not here a lasting home. To Him direct your prayers, your sighs and tears, that your soul may merit after death to pass in happiness to the Lord.

I don’t understand why Jesus replied in such a way, and when I cross referenced this over to Luke 9:51-62 NIV then compared it to NKJV, I realized that the NIV left out something profound that Jesus said in answer to James and John’s hysterically ironic question.
And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven...

If Jesus Christ be God, and he died for me, then no sacrifice I can make for him will ever be too great. We are a long ways from “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” We largely removed from Helen Roseveare’s “give me this mountain.” Is it no longer the age of the spirit? Is it no longer the age of the missionary church?

There are many people who make knowledge their god. Education is the drive of their life. They’re constantly reading, studying, and seeking to learn more and more. It’s interesting though, that as they gain knowledge, they often become more prone to describe themselves as “agnostics”...

Yep! People like to twist and twist things out of context to suit themselves, see the emerging liberal church!
My dad and I were discussing that this morning, and he used the analogy of warped wood under a home. I think it adequately paints the picture of what happens when Scripture is warped; the structure is essentially unsafe

Paul talks about being sober-minded, and under your own control, and thats hard to be when you are high! Not to mention its illegal (unless you have medicinal purposes) and we are to submit to authority!
I concur! These are just some of the pieces of Scripture that are being used by some of my friends to...

But as I said in a previous post:
to my knowledge, this is the best I could do with what Scripture provides in regards to weed. If you’d like to further this discussion shoot for the stars! I’d love to hear if you have any corrections or disagreements.
